N Biren Singh takes oath as Manipur CM for second straight term

Imphal, March 21: N Biren Singh was sworn in as Manipur’s chief minister for the second time on Monday. JP Nadda, the national head of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and other prominent BJP officials attended the ceremony in Imphal today.

Five MLAs, including Nemcha Kipgen, Y. Khemchand Singh, Th. Biswajit Singh, Awangbou Newmai and Govindas Konthoujam also swear in as the Cabinet Ministers of the state.

On Sunday, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman declared that N Biren Singh, the chief minister of Manipur, has been elected as the party’s new head.
