New Delhi, June 22: At an event held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu gave nursing professionals the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the years 2022 and 2023.
A total of 30 health associates received the prestigious award from the President.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare established the National Florence Nightingale Award in 1973 as a symbol of appreciation for the noteworthy services provided to society by nurses and nursing professionals.
10 Auxiliary Nurses and Midwives (ANM), four lady health visitors and 16 nurses were among the total number of recipients.
Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, was also present at the event.
