Mumbai, Oct.25: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will question actor Ananya Panday for the third time in less than a week today in connection with a drugs case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

The 22-year-old was initially summoned on the basis of two-year-old WhatsApp communications discovered on Aryan Khan’s phone, the contents of which had previously been disclosed by the anti-drugs agency.

According to agency sources, she was summoned again since her responses were unacceptable. Her electronic devices were also seized by the NCB during a raid on her residence in Mumbai’s Bandra neighbourhood.

Ananya is being questioned by NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, who is handling the inquiry, over chats that appear to show she helped Aryan Khan buy drugs three times in 2018-19.

According to sources, the star has denied selling drugs in the mentioned phone calls, and she has told NCB inspectors that she has never consumed or supplied illicit substances.

Panday was interrogated for six hours on two different occasions last week.

According to an NCB official, the actor is being treated as a “part of the inquiry” at this time; “simply because she is summoned doesn’t mean she is a suspect,” the official stated.
