Ramgarh, April 15: The sports club’s mentors D Mukhopadhyay and Manish Kumar organised an inter-house basketball tournament at DAV Rajrappa today. The contest was between four houses-N D Grover, Hansraj, Dayanand and Vivekanand. The DAV Rajrappa Basketball Court was brimming with enthusiasm, excitement, and a joyous environment.
Many close games were played during the competition, and each side sprang and leapt to make baskets. Each house put its best effort forward in the fiercely contested tournament.
The players battled it out on the courts, blocking hard on lay-ups. It was a nail-biting finish between N D Grover house and Hansraj house with the final score of 17-10. N D Grover House was the eventual winner with the Hansraj House as the runner-up.
D Mukhopadhyay, the in charge of the event applauded students and said that the students must not only have competitiveness but also ability, regardless of the circumstance they face, never quit. Principal B P Roy praised students on their performance and also remarked that Games and sports are an integral part of a student’s life.
