Assistant commandant Vinay Kumar flagged off the rally which attracted the attention of locality residents. Jawans of NDRF 9 Bn wearing their saffron uniform participated in the rally. They were carrying placards, posters, and banners carrying messages to fight against the Corona pandemic. They were also shouting slogans giving a call to common people to be aware of the pandemic, which has thrown normal life out of gear.
The slogans included —“Corona Ke is saal mein Bachna Hai Har Haal Mein” and “Do Gaj Ki Doori Mask Hai Jaroori” besides others,
Kumar on the occasion underlined the importance of the rally saying it was a need of the hour.
“NDRF not only extends help to people at the time of disaster but also make them able to fight with disaster. Unless people are not being made aware of the way to fight with a difficult situation it will be difficult to put a check on the expected third wave of corona pandemic,” Kumar said.
Expecting proper impact of the rally, Kumar said: “Bicycle rally will definitely help create awareness.”
He, on the occasion, asked people to make covid-19 appropriate behaviour a part of their life.
