Neeraj Chopra to not take part in Commonwealth Games 2022

New Delhi, July 26: Neeraj Chopra, Indian star in the javelin throw, is expected to miss his title defence at the Commonwealth Games in 2022 due to an injury concern.

“He is not fit as he got injured in the finals of the World Athletic Championship. He informed us about this,” said Rajeev Mehta, Secretary General, IOA to news agency ANI.

Notably, Neeraj won the gold at the 2018 CWG in Gold Coast and then added a gold medal to his collection at the Olympics in Tokyo.

Neeraj Chopra won silver in the men’s javelin event at the World Athletics Championships on Sunday in Eugene, USA.
