Jerusalem: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sharply criticized the Australian government following a deadly shooting at a Jewish celebration in Sydney that left 11 people dead. Netanyahu referenced a letter he sent to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in August, warning that the decision to back Palestinian statehood would intensify antisemitic sentiment. “Three months ago I wrote to the Australian prime minister that your policy is pouring oil on the fire of antisemitism,” he said, addressing supporters in southern Israel.
