Daltonganj, Nov. 9: Netarhat police cracked the missionary robbing and hurting case in a week, said sources.
Sources said the SDPO Mahuadanr Rajesh Kujur and officer-in-charge of the Netarhat police station Diwakar Dubey and the team worked on this case most precisely and professionally.
It arrested 9 criminals. 8 of them hail from Lohardaga while one is from the Gumla district.
Netarhat police recovered 3 kattas, 4 rounds of fire and 3 looted cell phones.
Dubey said the criminals who were accused of robbing Fr Sunil Bara of 10,000 rupees in cash appeared to have spent it all.
Bara was robbed and hurt on the night of November 1 at Pakri Paath when he was having a discussion with some fellows at the Alert centre, an organization of training, by some seven to eight criminals.
Sources said the criminals had only targeted the missionary when there were others too. Again there was a laptop lying there but the criminals did not lay hands on it. The attack on the missionary was seen as a serious thing and the Netarhat police too without losing more days busted the case in just one week.
All the 9 accused have been remanded in judicial custody today in Latehar.
