New office-bearers elected for CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council 2023-24

Jamshedpur, Feb 23: Umesh Kumar Singh, managing director, TRF Ltd has been elected as the chairman of CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council for the year 2023-24.

His name was announced at the CII Jamshedpur Zonal Annual Day held in Jamshedpur today.

Umesh Kumar Singh (52) joined Tata Steel in 1993 as Graduate Trainee, post his B.E. (Mechanical) from BIT Mesra.

He also holds a Diploma in Management Studies from XIM, Bhubaneswar. Singh has over 21 years of experience in areas of procurement management, project management, supply chain management in the steel industry, TQM, Theory of Constraint, TBEM and Operations.

He was appointed as Chief Project Procurement, Kalinganagar Projects, Tata Steel in 2011, where his responsibilities included the execution of project procurement for greenfield steel plant, logistics operations, material management, import?export shipments, as well as establishing and maintaining quality standard processes.

In 2016, Singh was appointed as Chief Operations and New Initiatives, IBMD and was responsible recovery, reuse and recycling of all solid wastes generated at the Tata Steel Plant.

In February 2020, he was appointed as the Executive Director of Tata Pigments Limited and thereafter, in June 2020, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Tata Pigments Limited. Since 1st October 2022, he has been serving as a Managing Director of TRF Limited.

Singh has brought about significant change in areas that he has handled and has been a high-performing leader with a proven track record.

Moreover, Diloo Parikh, Director, Vaidehi Motors Pvt. Ltd has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council for the year 2023-24.

Diloo Parikh hails from Jamshedpur. Born and brought up in Jamshedpur and associated with the family business of automobile dealerships of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and Tata Motors commercial vehicles.

Diloo is associated with various associations including the past Chairperson of FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association) – Jharkhand and Excom Member of APAI (Air Passengers Association of India)

His hobbies include collecting aeroplane models and his favourite sport is golf.
