NIA arrests six people in gangster-terrorist nexus raids

New Delhi, Feb 23: Lawrance Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, and Goldy Brar were among the gangsters whose associates were detained on Thursday by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), according to a report from ANI.

The arrests follow 76 raids that the NIA carried out in eight different states in an effort to ‘dismantle the network between terrorists, gangsters, narcotics smugglers, and traffickers headquartered in India and overseas.’

According to ANI, the individuals detained were Lucky Khokhar, Lakhvir Singh, Harpreet, Dalip Bishnoi, Surinder, and Hari Om.

The arrested people include Lucky Khokhar, Lakhvir Singh, Harpreet, Dalip Bishnoi, Surinder and Hari Om.

Many people, including some kabaddi players, have reportedly been arrested for their alleged involvement in terrorism and criminal operations like targeted killings and extortion, according to the agency.
