New Delhi, July 31: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched 13 premises on Sunday in six different States in relation to ISIS-related activity.
Six states, including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, are currently the target of the raids.
The organisation carried out searches in the following districts: Bhopal and Raisen in Madhya Pradesh; Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, and Ahmedabad in Gujarat; Arariya in Bihar; Bhatkal and Tumkur City in Karnataka; Kolhapur and Nanded in Maharashtra; and Deoband in Uttar Pradesh.

On June 25, 2022, the NIA suo-moto registered the case under sections 153A and 153B of the IPC as well as sections 18, 18B, 38, 39, and 40 of the UA (P) Act. Incriminating documents and material have been found as a result of the searches that were done today. Further information is awaited.
Additionally, starting Thursday morning, the investigation agency has been conducting raids at various Bihar locales, including the Nalanda area, in connection with the Phulwari Sharif case, which has links to the extremist group Popular Front of India (PFI).
The sources claimed that roughly a week after the NIA filed a case and began an exhaustive investigation, these searches were carried out. It has been reported that the locations of these raids all belong to individuals connected to the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).
