Nigerian woman tests positive for Monkeypox in Delhi, India’s tally at 13

New Delhi, Sept 16: A 30-year-old Nigerian woman in Delhi has tested positive for monkeypox, making her the city’s eighth case and the thirteenth case nationwide.

According to them, the woman has been admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital, LNJP Hospital.

“A total of eight cases of monkeypox have been reported in Delhi so far. The latest is a Nigerian woman, who is aged 30, and admitted at the LNJP Hospital. Her condition is being monitored,” a source told news agency PTI.

According to sources cited by Press Trust of India, another patient suspected of having monkeypox has also been admitted to the government-run hospital in Delhi.
