Nine Jharkhand players selected for Indian sub-junior hockey national camp

Ranchi, July 30: The national camp of the Indian sub-junior men’s and women’s hockey teams is going to be held from August 21 at the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela.

For the first time, nine players from Jharkhand have been selected for the national camp organized by Hockey India. This includes three players in the men’s category and six in the women’s category. The players who will be selected in this national camp will participate in the international hockey competition. All the office bearers of Hockey Jharkhand have congratulated all the players.

Men’s selected players are Rohit Tirkey, Rohit Pradhan and Ghuran Lohra.

Selected players of the women’s category are Sweetie Dungdung, Jamuna Kumari, Parvati Topno, Roshni Aind, Rajni Kerketta and Pushpa Topno.

After assuming the post of General Secretary of Hockey India, Bhola Nath Singh has started many new programs for the development of hockey. In this episode, for the first time in the history of Hockey India, a national camp for sub-junior level women’s and men’s hockey teams is being organized.

Earlier only national competition was organized for sub-junior level. National camps were not organized for the sub-junior level, nor did the team participate in international competitions and there was a national camp for only junior and senior teams and the players selected in the camp used to participate in international competitions.
