Jamshedpur, Dec 17 : The Adityapur-based National Institute of Technology ( NIT) will host the 11th convocation function on its campus tomorrow.
Union education and skill development minister Dharmendra Pradhan will deliver the convocation address as chief guest . He will deliver the address online.
Union tribal affairs minister Arjun Munda will be the guest of honour at the function. He will be present at the convocation function organised on the campus.
Over 900 BTech, MTech, MCA and Ph. D students will get their convocation degrees at the function.
Two B. Tech students – Bittu Kumar and YA Vahini will get gold while 16 students will get silver medals at the convocation function.
NIT director Karunesh Kumar Shukla said the convocation is a prestigious function in which students are fetted for their outstanding performances.
” During my tenure as an NIT director five convocation functions took place between 2017 and 2021, ” he said, adding the tech cradle figures among the best NIT’s of the country.
Shukla who is also on the board of governors of the technical institute said a 1000 capacity boys hostel involving Rs 91 crore would come up at the sprawling campus of the tech cradle.
