This comes a day after bulldozers tore down the illegal construction outside his house at the Grand Omaxe housing society in Noida’s Sector-93B on Monday. Tyagi’s lawyer moved a surrender application in a Greater Noida court and the UP police announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for information about him.
Notably, Tyagi is charged of shoving and abusing a woman who lives in Noida’s Sector 93B Grand Omaxe neighbourhood during an altercation.
His wife had earlier that day been brought into police custody once more for questioning. Around 6 am on Tuesday, the police came and took his wife from Srikant’s apartment. She was detained by the Noida Police on Friday, and they interrogated her for more than 24 hours. Additionally, the police have detained and are interviewing Srikant’s relatives.
Six of his supporters were detained by the police on Monday after they entered the Grand Omaxe society late on Sunday night without permission and inquired about the address of the woman that Tyagi had assaulted.
