New Delhi, April 20: Anniken Huitfeldt, Norway’s foreign minister, will visit India from April 25 to 27 to participate in the Raisina Dialogue as well as undertake bilateral talks.
According to the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, she would be joined by a business group. Notably, Norway collaborates with India on a variety of issues, including the ocean, clean energy, climate change, and the environment. Both countries are collaborating on a growing and widespread scale in the commercial world. Norway and India are also members of the UN Security Council together, according to the statement.
“Norway and India share common ambitions on climate and environment. To fulfill India’s goals in this area, largescale development of renewable energy and hydrogen production is required, for which the country needs foreign investment and international technology,” said Huitfeldt.
“This opens up great opportunities for Norwegian business and industry and therefore a number of Norwegian companies will participate during the visit,” he added.
She will undertake bilateral discussions in addition to participate in India’s annual geopolitical conference, the Raisina Dialogue. According to the statement, Norway wants to increase cooperation with India to help improve multilateral cooperation, the international economic system, and the legal order.
