Ranchi, April 1: JMM MLA and daughter-in-law of the JMM patriarch Shibu Soren, Sita Soren today rebuffed allegations that she has been in close touch with the BJP. “Better you should ask this question to those MLAs who flew to Delhi in a chartered plane. I will not name anybody. But everyone knows who they are,” Sita Soren said on Friday after her meeting with Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais.

She placed those on the docks who question her loyalty. Notably, during the recently concluded budget session of the assembly, Chief Minister Hemant Soren had hinted that after the victory in Uttar Pradesh the BJP will indulge in the make and break of the government in Jharkhand.

Sita Soren sought an appointment with the Governor hours after there was a whisper in the power corridor of Jharkhand that the JMM patriarch Shibu Soren has been informed about her anti-party activities and her alleged hobnobbing with the BJP to topple the Hemant Soren-led government.

She said that she wanted to raise her concerns about growing corruption in Jharkhand and the loot of land and other natural resources in Jharkhand that the government has failed to stop.  She also submitted a memorandum in this regard and said that she was deeply disappointed as the government always turned blind eyes toward her complaints.

“From Santhal Pargana to Baharagora, there is the loot of land everywhere. During the assembly sessions, I raised this issue on various occasions but did not get a satisfactory reply from the government. For instance, in the CCL Amrapali project, the company RKTC-BLA encroached on 1.5 km of forest land. I informed the government but no action was taken. I informed this matter to the Governor,” she said.
