Ranchi, Aug.2: Two days after Congress legislator Jaimangal Singh alias Anup Singh accompanied by Congress party state president Rajesh Thakur registered an FIR at the Argora police station against his three party MLAs, including Irfan Ansari (Jamtara), Rajesh Kacchap (Khijri), Namal Vixel Kongari (Simdega) for making an attempt to topple the government in Jharkhand, a complaint against him for hatching a conspiracy against abovementioned trio and implicating them in false case was lodged at the same police station.
One Deepak Rao Singh, who according to sources, takes care of legal matters of Irfan Ansari, had lodged the complaint. The complaint, which is yet to be converted into an FIR and the copy of which is available with Lagatar24.com, explains how a Congress legislator hatched a conspiracy to implicate his party colleagues in a false case.
The complaint suggests that on July 29, 2022, Dr Ansari along with other two above-mentioned MLAs went to Guwahati for some personal work and returned to Kolkata on July 30, 2022. As the World Indigenous Day i.e. August 9, 2022 is coming, they decided to buy sarees for distribution.
However, before they could do the purchasing the West Bengal police intercepted their car at Ranihati and searched the said car without any authorities. During the search, the police found Rs 48 lakh cash kept for purchasing. Despite the said explanation, the police detained them along with their drivers and friends without any authorities.
During such detention, the leaders of the ruling dispensation of the state of West Bengal, including the chief minister made their statement and declared that all the three MLAs attempted to topple the Jharkhand government and horse trading. They also alleged the leader of opposition of the state Suvendu Adhikari and others of being part of it.
Next day after the police detained the trio, Anup Singh registered a zero FIR against them alleging that the trio offered him gratification to topple the present JMM government. Singh also alleged the trio arranged a meeting with Assam chief minister Hemanta Biswa Sarma to get the work done.
Deepak Rao Singh in his complaint cleared how the claim of Singh was wrong. Mentioning a social media photograph, Singh made it clear that Anup Singh already had a connection with Sarma and had already met him.
Officer-in-charge of Argora police station Vinod Kumar confirmed the receipt of complaint saying he will talk to the complainant again before taking decision on converting the complaint into an FIR. “I have to ascertain the identity of the complainant,” he said.
A police official said if the complaint gets converted into an FIR it will be a zero FIR and it will be sent to the concerned police station in the same way the FIR of Anup Singh was sent.
