Now, PSA  oxygen plant mandatory for 50-bed hospitals in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, Aug 9: For combating a possible third wave of coronavirus, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has made the PSA medical oxygen plant mandatory for  50-bed private hospitals of the district.

The district administration on  Monday held an online meeting with operators of all the corporate nursing homes and private hospitals and discussed with them their preparation for combating a possible third wave of Coronavirus.

The meeting was called at the directive of Deputy Commissioner (DC)-cum-DDMA Chairman Sandeep Singh. ADM law and order Dr Kumar  Tarachand who presided the meeting directed operators of all the corporate and private hospitals to make available ICU, general ICU, oxygen supported beds, NICU, Paediatrics ICU beds in their hospital for the third wave of Coronavirus and provide their list within 24 hours ( by August 10) to the civil surgeon.
“PSA medical oxygen plant is mandatory for the private hospitals/nursing homes that have 50 beds,” said the ADM. He further added that those hospitals/  health clinics that have less than 50 beds will have to report the civil surgeon in 24 hours about the number of available beds for HDU beds, adult ICU beds, general ICU beds, oxygen supported beds, human resources for infected ( Covid positive) patients.
Besides, the district administration has also sought reports from private hospitals about the number of their working  MBBS doctors, specialist doctors, paediatrics doctors, Paramedical staff, trained nurses, trained nurses for handling ventilators  and others health staff.
