Chatra, June 4: NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Gurdeep Singh visited the North Karanpura power plant in Tandwa in his two days visit starting June 3. He visited the plant with Ujjawal Kanti Bhattacharya, Director (Projects) and S N Tripathi Executive Director (PM) & Regional Executive Director (Hydro). Tajinder Gupta, Business Unit Head, of the Project along with many senior officials welcomed Singh and briefed them about the various construction activities undergoing within the project.
Singh inaugurated the newly constructed guest House named Atulam and the new Admin office Udgam. He also visited the Plant area and unit control room and reviewed the progress of the project after the commissioning of 660MW unit-1 on 1st March 2023. He chaired meetings with Senior officials, young executives, and executive association and encouraged them to continue with their best effort and dedication to the progress of the project.
While addressing the employees and family members, Singh shared his happiness for the successful commissioning of Unit I and the creation of new facilities in the township. He also spoke on the timely commissioning of Unit II and Unit III as per given timelines while giving top priority to Safety.
Later, all the dignitaries also planted saplings in Atulyam and Udgam.
