New Delhi, Aug 10: Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr.Virendra Kumar presented 127th Constitution Amendment Bill 2021 in Lok Sabha which was passed unanimously. The Opposition also supported the bill. The amendment was demanded by many OBC leaders as well as regional parties. This bill was approved the Modi Cabinet recently which is going to serve the purpose of listing of OBCs by the State Government.
The Government wanted to give it legality. The Supreme Court stated in May that only the Central Government has authority to take decision on the OBC Community, which was then opposed by the Central as well as the State. Amidst all these now the Central Government wants this bill to get enacted.
