New Delhi, May 19: A fire broke out at a factory in northeast Delhi’s Mustafabad neighbourhood on Thursday, killing one person and injuring six others.
Officials said they received a complaint about the incident at 12:17 p.m., and seven fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. Officials with the fire department stated the blaze was brought under control about 1 p.m.
Seven people were injured when a fire broke out on the first floor of a facility that made electric equipment including inverters and stabilisers. They were evacuated to the GTB Hospital.
“One person was declared dead and another person is in serious condition. The building is spread over an area of about 200 square yards,” said Fire Department Director Atul Garg.
