One dies, dozen sustain injuries in road mishap at Ramgarh

Ramgarh, April 20: A road accident occurred on the National Highway 23 Ramgarh Bokaro road near Barlong under Ramgarh district last night.

One person named Bhunwa Nayak died in the mishap while around a dozen people got injured.

According to the information, a family of Asurgora village of Silli in Ranchi district had come to attend a ‘Chhathiyari’ ceremony organized at Ramgarh’s Bhurkunda. The family was returning in an auto after attending the function.

In this sequence, a speeding Bolero vehicle hit an auto on the Ramgarh-Bokaro road near Barlong. Due to the impact, the auto full of people crashed and overturned. The Bolero driver managed to escape with the vehicle.

On receiving the information, police reached the accident site to help the victims.

Apart from four children, Savitri, Pramika, Gopal Nayak, Nagendra Nayak, Sukoon Devi, Chini Wala, Preetnath Nayak, Roopam Devi have been injured in the accident. They were admitted to the Ramgarh Sadar Hospital with the help of locals.

Sanjay Nayak and Gopal Nayak got seriously injured and were referred to RIMS Ranchi for better treatment.
