New Delhi, July 12: There is going to be a gathering of opposition parties in Bengaluru on 17-18 July. It is reported that 24 political parties are going to participate in this meeting. According to sources, this time 8 new parties are going to join the opposition. According to sources, Marumalarchi Dravida Munendra Kazhagam, Kongu Des Makkal Katchi, Viduthala Chiruthaigal Katchi, Revolutionary Socialist Party, All India Forward Block, Indian Union Muslim League, Kerala Congress Joseph, Kerala Congress Mani can attend this meeting.
The special thing is that these parties did not participate in the meeting of the opposition held in Patna. The talk of Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi’s participation in the meeting is also coming to the fore. The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen the opposition against the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Interestingly, the KDMK, MDMK were with the BJP during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, but this time may be seen with the opposition.
In this sequence, Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has invited the leaders of the opposition to attend the Bengaluru meeting. Lalu Prasad Yadav has also said that he will go to Bengaluru to attend the meeting of opposition parties. The first meeting of the opposition was held in Patna on 23 June. It was led by Nitish Kumar. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge along with Rahul Gandhi, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Mamta Banerjee, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and many big leaders attended the Patna meeting.
