New Delhi, Aug 1: On the eleventh day of the Monsoon Session, both Houses of Parliament experienced their first adjournment shortly after they assembled on Monday.

Earlier, a session on price increases is scheduled for the Lok Sabha on Monday and the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday after days of protest and many suspensions over its demand. The Opposition is likely to demand a discussion on the Agnipath defence recruitment initiative even though there has already been a discussion on price increases.

Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha proceedings had to be adjourned by Chair Rajendra Agrawal until 2 p.m. because the opposition members shouted abusive slogans as the papers were being laid out. Additionally, some members attempted to block the camera by going into the House’s well.

The government has also listed two bills, The Central Universities(Amendment) Bill, 2022 to be introduced and The Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Bill, 2021 to be discussed and passed in the Lok Sabha.
