Ranchi, Jan 6: Jharkhand University of Technology Vice Chancellor Pradeep Kumar Mishra counted his achievements after getting the appointment as the VC of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

During an exclusive interview with lagatar24.com Mishra said that courses such as M.tech and PhD were started on the main campus while he was the VC of the University.

“While being in charge for nearly a year, several courses were started and the syllabus was prepared. It was challenging to provide online classes to the students during the Covid phase due to lack of infrastructure which was also arranged later and the online classes became possible,” Mishra said.

“Covid came with a challenge and most of the works have been during the covid phase itself, even the classes got started in the main campus during the ongoing phase of the corona,” Mishra added.

The VC said that technical education is necessary and important for the development of any state and ordinances and syllabus have been prepared for various courses. The main campus of the university is offering an M.Tech in three disciplines.

“I hope that the team which has been formed for educating the students will continue to work in the same manner and will achieve greater heights in the future under the next Vice-Chancellor who will be taking charge of the University,” Mishra added.

“It is an honour for me to get appointed as the vice-chancellor of AKTU. It will take me 15 days to one month to formally take charge of AKTU as the vice-chancellor,” Mishra said.

Jharkhand Technological University was established in the year 2017 with the objective of developing technical education in Jharkhand and providing meaningful technical education to its youth.
