Over 14000 extra forces deployed in Jharkhand for Ram Navami

Ranchi, March 28:  Jharkhand, which has a history of communal riots during festivals, has taken proper steps to ensure proper security during Ram Navami by taking measures to keep the troublemakers at bay. Other than installation of CCTVs at strategic locations and arrangement for drone surveillance, men in uniform have been deployed.

As many as seven companies of the central forces have been deployed in sensitive districts of Jharkhand. Apart from this, additional deployment of 14,920 police personnel has also been done.

The districts where central forces have been deployed include Giridih, Jamshedpur, Palamu, Lohardaga, Dumka and Ranchi. In Palamu CRPF women’s battalion has been stationed. In Ranchi, two companies of Rapid Action Police (RAP) of Jharkhand Police have been deployed. One company of RAP has been deployed in Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, Chatra and Koderma.

As many as 25 DSPs, 28 Inspectors, 320 sub-Inspectors, 160 Armed Forces, 8305 Lathi Force, 4950 Home Guards, One Company of ATS, One Dog Squad, 5 tear gas squads, five fire Squads, three bomb disposal squads, 150 jawans under the control of Police Headquarters and 950 jawans have been deployed under the control of DIGs of different ranges.

In Jharkhand capital a flag march was done under the leadership of senior superintendent of police Kishore Kaushal and warning was given to troublemakers against any attempt of disturbing peace. The SSP asked people to be aware of rumours and pass information to police in case of any suspicious activities in the city.
