Ranchi, Jan 22: Shubham Sandesh newspaper and its parent organisation Lagatar Media Private Limited on Sunday organised a health camp at Morhabadi in collaboration with Dr. Prashant Kumar of Urology Care Clinic.
People out on morning walks got their check-ups done at the camp set up in front of Children’s Park. People got their blood pressure and sugar checked on the spot along with getting checked for issues related to urology. Expert Dr Prashant Kumar checked the people visiting the camp. Over 360 people had their health checkups at the camp.
Urology expert Dr Prashant Kumar said that in the run-of-the-mill life, people have forgotten how their lifestyles affect their health. They ignore diseases and often wait till they are aggravated. The doctor further suggested that people should get their health checkups done once every year people. This is so the disease is caught in the initial stage itself and does not progress further.
People attending the camp appreciated the initiative taken by Shubham Sandesh. Geeta Devi, a resident of Morhabadi, said that when she came for a walk in the morning, she got her blood pressure checked after visiting the up camp. On the other hand, Pawan Kumar, a resident of Morhabadi, said that in his busy life, he would often forget to take care of his health. He said that work pressure was also to blame for this.
