Islamabad, Feb 26: An explosion that occurred inside the Rakhni market in Balochistan’s Barkhan on Sunday morning resulted in at least four fatalities and 14 injuries.
Dr. Abdul Hameed, the Barkhan District Health Officer, verified the death toll to Dawn and added that the injured individuals had been sent to the Rakhni Hospital.
Abdullah Khoso, the deputy commissioner for Barkhan, claims that the explosion was caused by an IED that exploded after being installed on a motorcycle.
As of yet, no one has claimed responsibility.
In the Khuzdar district of Balochistan earlier on Saturday evening, unidentified militants detonated a roadside bomb next to a police car, killing two officers and injuring two more.
