Daltonganj, Dec 27: Chief minister Hemant Soren today oversaw the passing out parade of 554 jawans of the 10 Indian Reserve Battalion at the JAP 8 battalion ground in Lesliganj.
These 554 jawans including 182 girls are of the 2019 batch but their 9-month-long training got derailed due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
The CM has assured 3 new barracks for the battalion with 250 beds each for the three barracks. He said the JAP 8 battalion ground would be provided with more infrastructural facilities with lots of availability of water.
The chief minister said his government would be considering training allowance for these jawans. He alluded to women’s empowerment.
The passing out parade was graced by the chief minister Hemant Soren, Principal Secretary and Home Secretary Rajiv Arun Ekka, DGP Niraj Sinha, DG training Anurag Gupta, Priya Dubey etc.
DGP Niraj Sinha in his speech counted 3 issues such as crime, cyber crime and Naxalism in Jharkhand where Naxalism has been most successfully reigned in by the security forces.
The chief minister said on Tuesday he had been to Mosambani ground for the same passing out parade and today in Lesliganj he finds the same grand gala performance of the passing out parade.
Two newly constructed police stations Pandu and Nawajaipur were inaugurated online by the chief minister today.
SP Palamu Chandan Kumar Sinha gave the vote of thanks and reminded the audience how in just two days he got three different colour tracks ready on the grasses in the JAP 8 battalion ground in Lesliganj which was an added attraction for the day today.
