Daltonganj, June 22: The Ramgarh police in Palamu have finally solved the case of chopping off of genital of a man.
According to the officer in charge of the Ramgarh police station Prabhat Ranjan Rai, Manita Devi, the wife of the victim Sunil Bhuihar (25) whose genital was partially chopped off, has been caught and remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.
The incident took place due to an illicit relationship as Manita Devi had a lover Sikander Ravi alias Satyender Ravi and Sunil was a stumbling block between them.
Police officer Prabhat said she has not only confessed to her crime but showed the police where she had thrown the tools etc with which she used for it.
The woman first tempted Sunil with a sedative tablet assuring him that it was a sex enhancer. Sunil trusted his wife and took it only to get drowsy and numb. The woman then injected local anaesthesia around his scrotum which further weakened Sunil.
Police recovered the blade, dispovan syringe with needle, an empty vial of injection, blood-soaked towel and wrapper of the tablet barely 300 meters away from the site of the incident which took place on June 17/18.
Police officer Prabhat said when Manita was up to the crime, her lover was giving her directions on how to do it on phone. He is right now away from Jharkhand eking out his living and back here his lady love Manita Devi will be behind the bars in Daltonganj from today onwards.
The woman has been booked under sections 307, 341, 323, 326, 352 and 34 of the IPC.
The sensational case was cracked within a day after the lodging of the FIR which was lodged on June 20 and the arrest of the woman came on June 21.
