Palamu police sends six victims of job fraud back home to Nagpur

Daltonganj, Jan 9: Palamu police are on the look out for a laborer agent said to be Ramesh Shinde of Nagpur.  This Nagpur man Shinde has cheated upon four men and women in the name of a job for cable laying in Daltonganj and then on reaching Daltonganj abandoned them like commodities and disappeared from the scene.

It is said these four and Shinde are co villagers there in Nagpur and the four trusted Shinde when he promised them work and wages in Daltonganj.

“Shinde brought with him from Nagpur 6 people,  two men and two women, along with two children, promising them work of cable laying in Palamu Here on reaching Daltonganj the Nagpur laborer agent Shinde vanished and even switched off his cell phone,” said SP Palamu Chandan kr Sinha.

They had no money with them to buy food even for the two children. A student activist Sujit Pandey noticed these 6 from Nagpur standing lost, hungry and haggard at the college gate of the GLA in Daltonganj.

SP said that Pandey phoned him and sought help for these people.Traffic incharge Rudrananad Saras was rushed to these people for help under orders of the SP.

“Under orders of the SP, tickets with reservation were bought for them for Nagpur and then on Saturday these people along with their children were made to board Shaktipunj Jabalpur express train for Nagpur. SP paid for the tickets,” said Traffic incharge.

“We had to hurry as covid is raging all around and these Nagpur people had with them two children who are now the most vulnerable of all and so within hours of our taking this case into our hands, these people were safely and legitimately made to travel by a long distance express yeah Shaktipunj express which originates from Kolkata,” said SP.
