Daltonganj, March 9: Palamu’s Panki witnessed a peaceful Holi on Wednesday despite a communal conflagration on February 15 leading to the suspension of the internet services for 4 days and prolonged promulgation to section 144 of the CrPC since February 15, which was finally lifted on March 4.

CO Panki Anchal  Nirbhay Kumar told Lagatar on Thursday that this Holi festival passed off very peacefully at Panki without any untoward incident at all.

The government official said the highlight of the Holi celebrations was the participation of the Muslims though in a limited way but the most encouraging way in the observance of Holi. The two communities held Holi in the right spirit.

SDO sadar Rajesh Kumar Sah said he was there at Panki on the day of Holi and found life and activities all cordial and full of understanding.
