Paris Olympics 2024 Day 3: India’s Full Schedule and Key Events

Paris, France: The excitement continues on Day 3 of the Paris Olympics 2024 as Indian athletes gear up for crucial events on July 29. With Manu Bhaker’s historic bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol final on Sunday, the spotlight now shifts to Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta, who aim to add more medals to India’s tally in their respective 10m air rifle events.

Ramita Jindal, who overcame a challenging start in the qualifiers, showcased her exceptional marksmanship to qualify for the final in fifth place with a score of 631.5. Her compatriot Elavenil Valarivan narrowly missed the final, finishing 10th with a score of 630.7. Arjun Babuta also secured a spot in the men’s 10m air rifle final after finishing seventh in the qualification round.

Manu Bhaker will be back in action on Monday for the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Qualification. She will team up with Sarabjot Singh, who narrowly missed making the individual final. The other Indian pair in this event will be Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema.

The Indian hockey team, fresh off a thrilling victory against New Zealand, will face Argentina in their group-stage match. In table tennis, Sreeja Akula aims to advance to the round of 16 in women’s singles. Here’s the full schedule for Indian athletes on Day 3:

Archery:

  • Men’s team quarterfinals: Tarundeep Rai, Dhiraj Bommadevara, Pravin Jadhav — 6:30 PM

Badminton:

  • Men’s doubles (Group stage): Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty vs. Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel (Germany) — 12 PM
  • Women’s doubles (Group stage): Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto vs. Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida (Japan) — 12:50 PM
  • Men’s singles (Group stage): Lakshya Sen vs. Julien Carraggi (Belgium) — 5:30 PM

Shooting:

  • 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Qualification: Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh; Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema — 12:45 PM
  • Men’s Trap Qualification: Prithviraj Tondaiman — 1 PM
  • 10m Air Rifle Women’s Final: Ramita Jindal — 1 PM
  • 10m Air Rifle Men’s Final: Arjun Babuta — 3:30 PM

Hockey:

  • Men’s Pool B Match: India vs. Argentina — 4:15 PM

Table Tennis:

  • Women’s Singles (Round of 32): Sreeja Akula vs. Jian Zeng (Singapore) — 11:30 PM
