New Delhi, Dec 16: The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till 2 pm on Thursday following the opposition’s uproar in both the houses over the Lakhimpur Kheri incident and their demand for immediate resignation of Minister Ajay Mishra Teni.

Earlier on Wednesday, Congress MPs including Rahul Gandhi moved an adjournment motion in the house over the Lakhimpur Kheri violence demanding the removal of Ajay Mishra Teni as Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs.

“We should be allowed to speak about the murder that was committed in Lakhimpur Kheri, where there was an involvement of the Minister and about which it has been said that it was a conspiracy,” said Rahul Gandhi today in the Lok Sabha.

Notably, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case on Tuesday termed the Lakhimpur Kheri violence as a ‘pre-planned conspiracy’. On October 3, eight people were killed in this violence including four farmers and a journalist.
