New Delhi, Jan 31: President Droupadi Murmu will address a joint session of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to start the Parliament’s Budget Session today at 11 a.m. In addition, the Economic Survey will be presented to Parliament today, one day before the Union Budget tomorrow.
The final full-fledged Union Budget of the Modi administration before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1.
The first portion of the Parliament’s budget session, which starts on January 31, will last through February 10. Beginning on March 12, the Parliament will meet once more till April 6.
Due to delayed flights from Srinagar as a result of bad weather, a number of Congress MPs including Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge will be unable to attend the President’s speech to a joint session of both Houses of Parliament on Tuesday.
