Ramgarh, June 6: Federation of Automobile Association, Jharkhand Chapter’s Chairperson Govind P. Mewar said on Tuesday that the retail vehicle sales increased by 8.21% to 49,955 units in the month of May this year 2023 as compared to the month of May last year. Whereas in the month of May last year 2022 there were 46,164 units sold. At the national level, this increase is 10.14%.

At the Jharkhand level, two-wheelers sold 41,758 units in May 2023, showing a growth of 6.21%, while in May 2022 it was 39,316 units.  Three-wheelers registered sales of 1145 units in May 2023 as against 944 units in May 2022 showing a growth of 21.29%.  Talking about the commercial vehicle, he said, “We are seeing that it registered a sales of 1463 units in May 2023, making a huge increase of 52.40%, while in May 2022 it was only 960 units.  Passenger Vehicles is also registering a growth of 8.02% in Jharkhand registering sales of 4701 units as against 4352 units in May 2022.”  Talking about tractors, we find that it is registering a sales growth of 50% in May 2023 at 888 units as against 592 units last year.

The above figures show that in comparison to May 2022, all types of vehicles have registered an encouraging increase in sales in Jharkhand in May 2023.  However, two-wheelers and three-wheelers have made less progress than the national rate, which is worth considering.  Apart from this, commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles and tractors showing a positive trend have performed better by selling more than the national growth rate.
