Ramgarh, Aug 21: Four bodies recovered from Nalkari river after a vehicle drowned in the river with the help of NDRF, two of which were found early Sunday morning.
Notably, five people were washed away in a sudden strong current in the Nalkari river of Patratu late Friday night due to heavy rain in Ramgarh district. Search operation for the remaining is on.
Notably, all of them had gone for a picnic in a car. All five were standing on the banks of the Nalkari river that suddenly fell prey to the flow of water. The car in which they were traveling also was washed away.
As per information received, all were residents of Ranchi. They have been identified as Sumit Bahadur, Sneh Smriti Gaadi, Dr Devashish Tigga, Sameer Kumar and Vivek Gaurav. Those whose bodies have been recovered on Sunday have been identified as Sumit Kumar and Sneh Smriti Gadi. Smriti was working as a manager in a bank in Jamshedpur.
Police, locals and NDRF are searching for the remaining missing man. Ramgarh DC Madhvi Mishra has been tweeting updates regarding the rescue work being done there.
