Ranchi, Aug 14: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) after requisition sent by the Personnel Department is set to invite applications to fill 442 posts under reserved quota vacancies on the backlog posts in Jharkhand.
Out of this, the JSSC has already taken out advertisements for 317 posts. These include 3 posts for the Jharkhand Scientific Assistant Competitive Examination 2021, 3 posts under Jharkhand Diploma Level Combined Competitive Examination 2022, 26 posts under the Jharkhand Industrial Training Officer Competitive Examination 2022, 20 posts for competitive examination 2022 for appointment to the post of hostess category – A under RIMS Ranchi along with an advertisement for teacher recruitment process 2022 on 265 posts.
Notably, in the last budget session, Bandhu Tirkey had talked about filling the backlog posts to fill the vacancies of the reserved quota. In response to which Chief Minister Hemant Soren had said that in the financial year 2022-23, the backlog vacancies of all the departments will be assessed first, after which the work of filling the vacancy will be done by the Personnel Department.
The Civil Services (Backlog) exam has notably been stuck for the past four years in Jharkhand Public Service Commission. For appointment to only 10 posts in JPSC, applications were sought from the candidates by taking out advertisements in 2017, but till now the examination have not been held. 6000 candidates had applied to the commission for 10 posts.
Among the posts for which the advertisement was issued for appointment in the Civil Services (Backlog) examination include 4 posts of State Police Service (DSP), 4 posts of State Prison Service (Prison Superintendent) and 2 posts of State Employment Service (Employment Officer).
