New Delhi, Jan 3: A technical issue forced an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Phuket, Thailand, to return to Delhi, soon after departure.
According to sources, an IndiGo flight, 6E-1763, experienced an air turnback as a result of the failure of its hydraulic green system. A full emergency was issued for an aviation turnback, according to sources.
According to airport sources, the flight left Delhi at 6:25 am, and an emergency was declared at 7:22 am. The aircraft was brought back to Delhi for necessary maintenance, according to a statement from IndiGo.
“During flight, the hydraulic green reservoir low level, system low pressure, and pump low-pressure warnings got triggered,” sources said.
The yellow hydraulic system of an Air India A320 operating flight AI-951 (Hyderabad-Dubai) with 143 passengers failed earlier in November, forcing a diversion to Mumbai.
This month, a technical issue caused a diverted IndiGo flight from Kannur to Doha to land at the airport. As a safety measure, flight 6E-1715 was diverted to Mumbai, according to the airline.
