Ranchi, April 30: The spate of PILs related to alleged misuse of the office has been haunting Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren and his associates as a fresh PIL has been filed against Abhishek Kumar who is the CM’s media advisor.
Petitioner Shiv Shankar Sharma has alleged that Abhishek Kumar right after becoming media advisor in February 2020, misused his official position for pecuniary gains through private business despite he is drawing a salary from the government and enjoying official status. The petitioner claimed that Abhishek Prasad manages a company Shiv Shakti Enterprises and has obtained a mining lease of Pakariya Stone Deposits spread over 11.70 acres in Maheshpur
Block of Sahibganj district. Besides, he has another stone mine known as Dhawadanga Stone mines, in Pakur, having an area of 2.46 hectares. The mining lease was approved in April this year. The petitioner stated that as an advisor he threatened the officials of the Usha Martin Industries to get transportation work. Later on after multiple threats the officials of Usha Martin surrendered and gave the job of transportation to his company to transport coal from the Chatra area.
The petitioner claimed that he was appointed as an advisor but he is doing the business of stone crushers and mining in different districts of Jharkhand and also doing the business of coal through his partners Motilal Shahdeo District President JMM, Latehar and earning crores of rupees from such business apart from receiving a salary, automatic weapons holding a number of bodyguards and also enjoying the residential accommodation of the government.
The petitioner has made the chief minister as a respondent in this case along with ED, CBI, Income Tax and others.
