During his Mann Ki Baat radio address, he mentioned the upcoming launch of the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ website and encouraged young people to register on MYBharat.Gov.in.
“MYBharat will provide an opportunity to the youth of India to play an active role in various nation building events. This is a unique effort of integrating the youth power of India in building a developed India,” PM Modi stated.
In addition, he paid tribute to the late former prime minister Indira Gandhi and mentioned that October 31 is also her death anniversary.
Modi reaffirmed in his speech how important it is to be “vocal for local.”
“Like every time, this time too, during festivals, our priority should be ‘Vocal for Local’,” he said.
“I want to reiterate my request that wherever you go on tourism or pilgrimage buy products made by local artisans,” he added.
“Today India is becoming the world’s biggest manufacturing hub. Many big brands are manufacturing their products here. If we adopt those products, then Make In India gets a fillip and this too is being Vocal For Local’,” the PM stated.
Buying locally produced goods will help boost the forthcoming Diwali celebration for artisans, Modi said, and he urged people to insist on using the UPI digital payment system during transactions.
Speaking on a variety of topics, he stated that Gandhi Jayanti saw record sales of khadi products, with one store in Connaught Place alone recording sales of Rs 1.25 crore in a single day. According to him, sales of khadi goods have increased to about Rs 1.25 lakh crore from barely touching Rs 30,000 crore in the past.
He stated that Amrit Kalash Yatras have been organized to gather soil from all around the nation and that they are currently making their way to Delhi, where the material will be utilized to construct Amrit Vatika.
“It will remain as a grand legacy of the Amrit Mahotsav in the heart of the country’s capital. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which has been going on for the last two-and-a-half years across the country, will conclude on the 31st of October,” he said.
