Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gifted 35 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants established under PM cares to the country. It has started with the program being held at AIIMS Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The Prime Minister while addressing the people on this occasion said that there was a challenge from oxygen supply to the vaccine in the fight against Corona.
The PM announced that all districts of the country will now have commissioned PSA oxygen plants.
“Till now, a total of 1,224 PSA oxygen plants have been funded under PM Cares all across the country, out of which more than 1,100 plants have been commissioned, providing an output of over 1,750 MT oxygen per day”, said Modi.
The country is going to get four thousand new oxygen plants. The country’s hospitals are becoming more capable than ever before to meet the challenge of oxygen. In addition to this, operations and maintenance of these plants have been ensured by training more than 7,000 personnel, the PM added.
Uttarakhand Governor Gurmeet Singh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya were present on the occasion.
