New Delhi, April 15: On the anniversary of the creation of the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday.

Modi expressed his wishes for the people’s success and happiness, stating that the state is well-known for both tourism and its natural beauty.

On January 25, 1971, Himachal became recognised as the 18th state to the Indian Union, and it has since performed well on a number of development metrics.

He said in a tweet, “Many congratulations to all the people of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Himachal Day. I wish that the people of this state, famous for its natural beauty and tourism, always have a prosperous and happy life”.
