PM Modi launches ‘PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan’

New Delhi, Oct 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan’ for multi-modal connectivity at Pragati Maidan , Delhi. Under this Rs 100 lakh crore scheme, 16 ministries including rail and road will be digitally connected. This will accelerate the infrastructure development projects. Under this, initially 16 such ministries have been identified which deal with basic infrastructure development. The Gati Shakti Yojana was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 August.

The Prime Minister Gati Shakti National Master Plan will promote industrial activities as well as improve the transport system including airport, new roads and rail schemes and through this, new employment opportunities will be created for the youth. With the help of this digital platform, efforts will be made to speed up development works. This will help in increasing the efficiency of the industries and will give a boost to the local manufacturers.

It will incorporate the infrastructure schemes of various Ministries and state Governments like Bharatmala, Sagarmala, inland waterways and UDAN.

Gati Shakti will be the master plan of national infrastructure for the country. It will give an integrated pathway to the economy. Speed power will remove all obstacles and difficulties. There will be a reduction in the travel time of the common man, the manufacturers will be helped. In this decade of Amrit Kaal, the power of speed will form the basis of India’s transformationIn this scheme, 16 departments of the central government, including the departments that make up railways, roads and highways, petroleum and gas, power, telecommunications, shipping, aviation and industrial parks, will be included. A network planning group of high officials of all the 16 departments of the center will be formed. This will help in accelerating the development in the country.
