Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Kerala for a two-day visit on April 24 and take part in a number of events, including the ceremonial setting off of the eagerly anticipated Vande Bharat Express train.
The BJP state unit uploaded a banner on Facebook announcing the PM’s arrival, stating that the “world leader” was coming to Kerala and that tens of thousands of people will participate in a spectacular road show in Kochi on April 24. The BJP state unit is making all plans to offer the PM a great reception.
They did not clarify, however, whether the Prime Minister would participate in the road show or not, but said that Modi will receive a big welcome at this city’s international airport on April 25, when he arrives to officially launch the semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express.
The allocation of Vande Bharat to Kerala was referred to by the BJP as the PM’s “Vishu kaineettam” (Vishu gift), and they stated “It is a historic moment that Kerala is waiting for”.
Sources stated that Modi is also likely to ride in the new train with a group of schoolchildren and interact with them.
