New Delhi, Oct 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday virtually inaugurated the Indian Space Association (ISpA). On this occasion, the PM pointed out that major reforms were happening in India regarding the Space Sector. PM Modi said that the decision taken on Air India shows our commitment and seriousness. Be it satellite tracking or navigation technology in the homes, roads and other infrastructure projects of the poor, they are helping to make governance transparent. He said that today if India is ahead in the top digital economy of the world, it is because we have made data accessible even among the poorest of the poor.

The Prime Minister said that India has to become a new center of innovation. He said that India is one of the few countries which have end to end technology. We have made efficiency an integral part of the brand. Be it the process of space exploration or the technology of space, we have to explore it continuously. As a partner, Industries is supporting young inventors and will continue to do so.

PM Modi said that the government first made UPE for digital payment. Today Fintax is expanding on it. The private sector is getting a lot of help from such startups. Similar platforms are being developed for drones as well.

However, due to Corona, the schedule of some of these space missions has been delayed. The country’s first solar mission is likely to be launched in the third quarter of 2022. India’s second space observatory Exposat will also be launched next year. At the same time, the Gaganyaan mission is also likely to start by the end of 2022 or early 2023.

“The major reforms that are happening in India today regarding the Space Sector and Space Tech are a link to this. I once again congratulate all of you for the formation of the Indian Space Association-ISP, convey my best wishes”, said PM Modi.
