New Delhi, Nov.26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Constitution Day, greeted Indians and shared a portion of B R Ambedkar’s speech on Twitter, in which he had presented a resolution for the approval of the draught Constitution in the Constituent Assembly.

Constitution Day is observed to commemorate the Constituent Assembly’s adoption of the Constitution in 1949.

“Best wishes to our citizens on Constitution Day. On this special day, sharing a part of Dr. Ambedkar’s speech in the Constituent Assembly on 4th November 1948 in which he moved a motion for adoption of the Draft Constitution as settled by the Drafting Committee,” the PM tweeted.

PM Modi also highlighted India’s first president, Rajendra Prasad, who said that no matter how beautiful, well-organized, or strong a Constitution is, if it is not governed by true, fearless, and selfless servants of the country, it cannot do anything.

Rajendra Prasad’s spirit is like a guiding beacon, he stated in a Hindi tweet.

pic.twitter.com/UFpvSIpEXJ
