PM to talk Indian players going to Olympics on July 13

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took brief check on  stock of India’s preparations for the Tokyo Olympics. Also announced that he will talk to the Indian players going to the Olympics on July 13. Three days later, the first batch of Indian players will leave. Due to the Corona epidemic, this conversation will be virtual.

India’s first team will depart from Air India

Modi tweeted that he had checked of the preparations of the Indian team for the Tokyo Olympics. Talked about their vaccination, logistical details, assistance being given to them. He said that on behalf of 130 crore Indians, I will talk to the players going to the Olympics on July 13. I will wish them well. Let us all congratulate them, hashtag cheers  for India.

Earlier, the government’s public participation platform ‘My Gov India’ had given information about this conversation. The first team of India will leave from Air India. More than 120 players from India have qualified for Tokyo Olympics. The Indian Olympic Association has not yet officially announced the number of players. Due to the Corona epidemic, the Tokyo Olympics will be held from 23 July to 8 August without spectators.
