Patna, Sept 16: All the four accused in the shooting incident at Begusarai were detained by the Bihar Police late on Thursday. The accused have been identified as Yuvraaj, Keshav, Arjun and Sumit, all residents of Begusarai.

“The two shot at random. It appears to be the work of psychopaths,” said ADGP ranked officer.

The fourth accused was detained as he attempted to board a train for Ranchi near the Jharkhand border.

According to the police, 25 persons have been detained thus far, including three further suspects in the shooting. Police superintendent Yogendra Kumar said they took all the four prime accused to the crime spot following Kumar’s arrest.

“We have got important leads and investigations are still on,” he said.

Following their identification in CCTV footage, police offered a reward of Rs 50000 for information that would result in the four being apprehended.

A Patna-based forensic team went to the shooting location and the Godhna village, where it found two spent cartridges. At Godhna, the attackers shot at two victims.
